My responsibilities:

• As a board member, I participated in the business development and decision-making processes, business planning, and investor relations.

• My duties involved forecasting sales and developing financial plans. Supervising their executions together with the external controlling department was necessary as well.

• As head of development, I designed the application architecture, the supporting automation services, the cloud operating environment, and the release processes using DevOps practices. The services operate at 99.99% availability (check at status.livlia.com).

• I created BCP and BRP guidances, and technical documentation. I was also responsible for several regulatory-related tasks, including compliance with service-related local regulations of realtor services and GDPR compliance.

• I had to select and integrate the software vendors of the application and the daily operation.

• I was heavily involved in both frontend and backend-related programming tasks.

My responsibilities:

• I was responsible for the development of web applications and the backend services.

• I participated in creating web scrapers and other bots.

Interesting tasks I faced:

• We created a framework to use Azure SQL procedures as the backend for Angular applications.

My responsibilities:

• I managed a team of four engineers from multiple disciplines - mechanical, mechatronics, and electrical engineers - who designed and implemented working prototypes of the robot.

• Besides coordinating the goals and deliveries, I participated in high-level software architecture.

• I authored product development roadmaps, financial plans, and presentations for potential investors and grants. This also included the understanding of medical technology-related regulatory processes. It was my duty to present the created materials as well.

• I planned and organized public appearances at international exhibitions

Interesting tasks I faced:

• Since the working area was multidisciplinary, I had to equip myself with sufficient knowledge of these domains and the related technologies to understand and assist the work (including advanced mathematics, computer-controlled system theory, C, Matlab, SolidWorks, LabView)

My responsibilities:

• As the lead developer, I have been responsible for architecting and implementing the web application and the additional services in a team of four people.

• I developed text mining engines that processed natural science publications.

Interesting tasks I faced:

• I had to create a web application that proxied other websites while injecting custom code into them (the text processor and the document highlight and annotation engine) - this way, users didn't have to upload documents to our servers, only the text indices were stored (especially advantageous from a legal point of view).

• I built different text mining engines based on Azure NLP and Stanford NLP Toolkit.

My responsibilities:

• I created proposals, specifications, documentation, and training guides for our clients.

• Leading a web development team that made geographical information applications.

• I developed backends for our mobile applications.

Co-Founder/CTO - Kifly Connect

My responsibilities:

• Coordinating an Android, an iOS, and a web development team - 10 people - and designing the platform-independent, shared structure and logic of the applications.

• I architected and implemented the databases and the backend services as well.

• It became my duty to introduce and manage agile practices in the development process.

• As a shareholder, I was part of the decision-making processes and on-site negotiations with potential clients, suppliers, and potential partners for the overseas expansion.

Interesting tasks I faced:

• The development process involved designing the architecture in Visual Paradigm, a software modeling tool - then we transpiled the UML diagrams to Objective-C, Java, and .NET code for easy implementation of shared logic.

• Experimenting with indoor positioning and navigation using various network devices, from Bluetooth beacons to Cisco routers, was fascinating.

Co-founder, software developer - IIM / Weyland Technologies Kft

My responsibilities:

• Architecting our solutions, then implementing and operating the backend of the applications in the cloud.

• As a software engineer, I gained a comprehensive overview of different technologies and usages during the prototype development of ideas ranging from avalanche alarm systems to mobile applications for fast fashion stores.

• Bootstrapping our ideas and trying to turn them into real businesses shaped the entrepreneur inside me.
